Commercial Use Fonts & Designs
There are so many awesome resources out there, you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get started building a great library of fonts and designs! Pay attention to licenses though; read them, understand them & save them. Some freebies only allow personal use, and some purchased items will limit how you can reuse the item in a commercial manner.
Creative Fabrica
Creative Fabrica has tons of awesome freebies, and $1 font deals. They also offer monthly font subscription plans, $9 for personal use or $19 for commercial use, which includes unlimited access to their entire font library! Any designs you make during your subscription you can keep using after the subscription ends.
They have literally pages and pages of freebies, but here are a few of my favourites: Nouradilla Script free version and the Little Things Duo font.
Font Bundles & Design Bundles
These sister sites put out a new free font and a new free design every week. You can also save 10% on every purchase if you use store credit, which can be used on both sites. They also do regular $1 dollar deal events (90 cents each if you pay with store credit), but they sell out FAST.
With a Plus membership, you can access over 800,000 items for one low monthly price!
DaFont.com
Be especially careful with licensing options on this site! Most are free for personal use, and will provide links to another page if you want to buy a license to use the font in a commercial manner.
If you select a font category, then click the ‘More options’ tab near the search button it will allow you to only bring up fonts with a specific license. To make things easier on myself, I only download ones that are 100% free or Public domain/ GPL / OLF.
Craft Bundles
Cut friendly SVG and DXF files designs. They have some great bundles, plus pages and pages of great freebies.
The Hungry JPEG
Another site with pages and pages of freebies! Some freebies are for personal use only though, so double check the license before downloading. They also have tons of $1 dollar deals for fonts, designs and photos.
Some of my favourite (commercial use) freebies are: Mona font, Rainwood Typeface, and this hilarious Cat Character Creator.
So Fontsy
SVG cut files, fonts, embroidery and applique designs and great bundles. Check out their freebie section for their signature So Fontsy font, as well as some cute designs!
Creative Market
They post 6 new freebies every week. Once they’re gone they’re gone though, so I suggest signing up for their newsletter to stay on top of when the new ones come out. You can see their 6 current freebies right here:
